Today was a half-day for the official part of the conference, unless you were taking part in post-conference training offerings. I chose to sign up for post-conference training, as I always take advantage of something interesting if I can while I am here. I figure this week is an investment in my self development and it’s worth taking advantage of any face-to-face training I can take that will help me be better at what I do.

reImagine 2015 – Day 2
Day 2 was not quite as crazy as Day 1 for me, at least I don’t feel as drained as I did yesterday at this time of day (4:00pm as I am writing this!). I can’t speak for everyone though, I’m sure if you attended the eOne Smartner Party, your opinion on today might differ due to alcohol consumed or lack of sleep!

reImagine 2015 – Day 1
It’s been a great start to day one so far (as I am writing this throughout the day to save trying to remember it all later!). This isn’t going to be about everything that happened today, however it’s the things that were most interesting to me.

reImagine 2015 – Arrival Day
Today started early but it was a lot better than my alternatives would have been! This year flying is easier since I’m leaving from the airport closest to me, in Kitchener, Ontario, and it is less than 30 mins away. So a 6:45am flight doesn’t seem too bad after all!

reImagine 2015 – preparing to go to Fargo
As many others in the Dynamics GP community, I’m getting ready to head to Fargo for the annual partner conference dedicated purely to GP.
This year, I vow to not pay ridiculous US roaming fees on my cell phone. Every year I feel a little bit stranded, a little bit out of touch and always checking for the free wifi. What a pain in the butt.
Part 1 of getting ready to go this year is arranging for roaming. For those Canadian fans reading this, here is what I did this year. I’ll post at the end how it worked out.

reImagine 2014 – Day 4
The last half of day 3 and the first part of day 4 was post-conference training that you could sign up in advance for. I saw there was a deep-dive on Reporting and I thought “cool”… I feel a bit behind on some of the reporting tools and surely could use some in-depth training on things like SSRS. What I neglected to pay attention to, was the deep dive covered about 7 different tools. That should have tipped me off to the fact that we were not covering anything in depth.

reImagine 2014 – Day 3
Day 3 technically is the last day of the conference, unless you are taking some of the post-conference training. All of the content was at the Holiday Inn since there were fewer sessions overall. There were 9 sessions + the work room 1 on 1 things again.

reImagine 2014 – Day 2
Day 2 of the reImagine 2014 conference was a full day of sessions, followed by an evening keynote and pub crawl through downtown Fargo.
This day they swapped the locations of some sessions and had Sales & Consulting at the Holiday Inn, and Marketing & Development at Microsoft. I was initially a bit concerned that I would want to go to content at both places but the Development sessions proved to be more technical than my expertise, so I stayed at the hotel all day again.
There were 23 sessions at the hotel and 15 sessions at Microsoft, not including the work rooms where you have some 1 on 1 opportunities. Lots of choice again.

reImagine 2014 – Day 1
The first day of any conference, I find you’re spending a bit of time purely getting used to being at a conference again. Where are the rooms? What sessions do I want to see? What did I forget in my room? When are the meals and breaks?
Yesterday was no exception to that… even though I’ve been here many times now, this year the content was split between venues: some at Microsoft and some at the Holiday Inn. That meant logistics, and thinking about your agenda and reason for being here. Day 1 was a logical split (in my opinion) with Sales and Marketing presentations at Microsoft and Consultant and Developer sessions at the Holiday Inn. Personally, I tend to mix and match those two content types. So that worked for me.

reImagine 2014 – Day before the fun begins!
It’s Sunday November 9th, 2014 and the day before what arguably might be the biggest Dynamics GP partner conference yet… perhaps an exaggeration but with a new release pending in 3-4 weeks (GP 2015), there’s tons of excitement around this year’s conference.
